The Lore of the Dark DTM Titan: The 190E Evolution II High Wing
The Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II is a radical motorsport icon born from one of the most ruthless eras in racing history: the Golden Age of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM). Developed to meet strict Group A homologation rules so Mercedes could crush its competition on the track, only 502 units of the real-life street car were ever hand-built, making it an incredibly rare automotive holy grail. At its heart sits a high-revving 2.5-liter 16-valve inline-four engine tuned by Cosworth, but it was the extreme, wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamics that shocked the world. The massive, adjustable High Wing and aggressive fender flares were so efficient at pinning the car to the tarmac that rival engineering chiefs were left utterly stunned by its high-speed stability. Dressing this road-going race car in deep, unyielding black amplifies its aggressive fighter-jet geometry, transforming the executive sedan into a menacing stealth weapon. This HKM premium miniature masterfully honors that high-octane racing heritage, shrinking a piece of legendary motorsport history directly into your hands.
